Hi, I was wondering of anyone has been to or heard about Coon Hill Cemetary in Jay. It seems that in the Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties. The stuff I have read about Coon Hill seem to be more urban legend but who knows. The cemetary has alot of history.
Thanks for any info. Tom

as fqar as i know..Coon Hill is one of the oldest cemeteries in the State...I believe Florida's first Senator was buried there...as well as it has wood markers that date back almost 200 years. I have heard tell from several other teams that the place is a bevvy of EVP's. My advice would be if you are going out there..make sure you notify the proper authorities first so that trespassing is not an issue.
If i remember my Urban Legends correctly..Coon Hill...is where the Fog tends to gather in extremely isolated areas..making it impossible to see some of the markers...from that fog..there is the legend of a small child which is heard crying...
Personally..i have never been there...but..i have heard it is worth the time to explore.

Thanks Nancy I have been doing some research as well there is also a wall around the cemetary that you are not suposed to be able to walk all the way around with out getting pushed off. I read some info from one invest I thinks something like the Oensacola paranormal society did it. One of the people walking the wall felt a hand and was pulled off the wall and actually was bruised where she said she was grabbed. I have also heard reports of a teen to early twentys woman screaming. The info on the screams if I remember correctly is the young woman was murdered and burried there as well as her attacker. (this im thinking is urban legend as I havnt read anywhere there is proof). All the information I have read said you can be there till 1am but to have your ID ready that the police do come out and check IDS.
