Sloss Furnace has a long standing tradition of haunting as well as haunted events. It was originally opened in 1882 as a pig iron blast furnace and was in full operation until 1971. In 1981..Sloss was designated a national historical site..and is the ONLY blast furnace to hold that designation. Most of the hauntings or reports of haunting at sloss center around a forman referred to as "Slag" Supposively "Slag" was a nasty SOB...his best form of discipline was to basically push his workers into the furnace..or off the higher crossovers on site. While nothing can actually factually connect this man with deaths..there seems to be very good response when Slag is pushed for answers. Apparently..he is as nasty in death as he was in life. Also..there are reports of workers who fell to their deaths still walking the properties there.
We shall see

Sloss Furnace..was incredible..lol...I am a bit late on responding to this..but felt it should be said.. The grounds themselves, while it would be damn near impossible to interpret evidence, was just insane with it's "heavy" feeling..certain areas simply made ur skin crawl and elevated ur anxiety levels to the point of simply wanting to run like hell.. But..the noise interference made EVP sessions beyond difficult, and the humidity density caused a visible moisture in the air which would make me question any kind of picture evidence.. All in All.. and insanely neat place to visit, but not one i would use in a "paranormal face book" for cases
