I'd like to know whether you think if someone say has a strong personality would a spirit, ghost, whatever you'd like to refer to be less likely to show itself, or maybe hinder an investigation? Could this be the cause for someone not to witness any activity?
Anyone have any thoughts about this?

Its been my experience that if a person who is not open minded and all ready has doubt about the paranormal can easily dismiss and block any type of contact and can hinder an investigation. Some people are naturally hard headed and no matter what happens "we all know the type" will deny any type of paranormal activities and can cause friction in a investigation, for an example your in a room with several people and everyone is happy and then someone comes in with a bad attitude and you can feel the mood in the room change, its like taking a glass of cold water and pouring it over everyones head and then everyones day is in so many words shot to hell. But of course this is just my opinion and there are some folks in this room who could answer this question with alot more experience, but like Ki Ki says my 2 cents :-).

In my experience, the best results are gotten with a strong approach, yet an absolute respect for the energy to which you are addressing..simply out of recognition to the fact that in all likeliness they were once human, and would expect to be treated as such. I always advise my team to remember the period in history that came before us, and the strength of the etiquette at that time. Respect their ways, and their upbringing..but do not allow any kind of trespass that would endanger ur own well being. My team will tell you...I actually draw boundaries verbally.

The last bit is VERY true LOL... The first bit, well, I have yet to have anything substantial happen to me... I want to have a "Nancy" experience... Like she said, she draws boundaries, and in all honestly, bc of her energy and what she attracts, she HAS to. It's an amazing experience!! Especially the one we had at the Biltmore with the investigation with Jason and Grant and the VIP holders... INCREDIBLE. I'm itching for that to happen again!

Yeah I was there too, I was one of the VIP winners (not the ones at auction but radio winner) and yes it was awesome. But I am in the same boat, I have not had anything substantial happen either, lots of little stuff.
