I am looking at possibly getting a recorder (for both EVPs and class lectures ) and was wondering if anyone had suggestions or recommendations.

I have an ICD-P620. Fairly inexpensive (roughly $50 from Sony direct) and great for both investigating and class. Easy to DL via USB onto your PC for easier listening... also great way to store notes. Create a file for each class and save. Then, when your sitting around at school waiting for class to start, plug in a headset and listen away.

And I can listen for EVPs while in class. ;D
But seriously, thanks. I just found out that one of my upcoming professors this semester talks and talks and talks, and that his tests are hard because he takes it straight from his lectures. So I guess my investment will serve two purposes.

Yes, its definitely a multi purpose tool that can be used for hobbies and real life necessities. I know it will come in handy when I go back to school!
